A graveside interment for the late Mrs. Dell Othilda Spencer
who passed away December 18, 2014 will take place on Tuesday at 2 pm
in the Robie Street Cemetery, Truro with Reverend Carol Gillard
officiating.
Spencer, Dell Othilda, 82, Glenholme, passed away Thursday,
December 18, 2014 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Goldboro, Guys. Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert and
Alice (Blair) Myers. Dell worked as an accountant clerk for Moffatt
Brothers. She was a member of the Erskine United Church,
Glenholme where she sang for many years in the choir. She was a life
member of the U.C.W. and a member of the Princess Mary
A.C.W.
She is survived by her brother Philip of Truro; step-children
Debbie and Danny; special friends Marie McElhinney of Lower Debert,
Pearl Davis of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Warren Spencer;
sisters Amy and Carolyn in infancy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take
place on Monday, December 22nd from 12:00 pm
until 1:45 pm followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm. with
Rev. Carol Gillard officiating. Burial will take place at a later date
in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Donations in Dell’s memory
may be made to the Erskine United Church, Glenholme or to a charity of
choice. A special thanks’ to the V.O.N., Dr. Michael Murray,
Dr. David Henderson, Sue Gibbon, Dr. Cam Jeffrey, Dr. Alwin Jeyakumar
and Darlene Arsenault for your kindness and compassion given to my
sister Dell. Also a special thank you to all of Dell’s
friends and neighbours for everything you did to help her. Private
