Darren Dale
Tapley – 49, Bedford,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday,
February 1, 2015, at Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. Born May 3,
1965, in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, he was the son of Dorothy Tapley
(Jim Ashford), Everett, New Brunswick, and the late Clarence
Tapley.
Darren owned and operated All Euro Automotive in Bedford for
the past 10 years. An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, he had a
keen interest in anything with an engine, especially BMWs and F1
Racing. Keeping up on current events, watching movies and Montreal
Canadiens play hockey, reading or playing with any new gadget were
Darren’s ways of relaxing.
Along with his mother, Darren is survived by his sisters,
Debra Tapley, Truro; Diane Sorenson, Economy; niece, Veronica
Sorenson, Truro; nephew, Nicholas Sorenson, Truro; partner, Annette
Breen, St. John’s, Newfoundland and her mother, Carol
Whelan, St. John’s, Newfoundland; her children, Bobbi-Lynn
(Brian) and Blair Breen; her siblings, Robert Whelan, Wade Whelan and
Wendy Richards; special friends, Gerry and Sharon Johnston, Dartmouth,
and many family and friends in all Atlantic provinces.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Darren’s
family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 4,
2015, with special remembrances at 6:30 p.m., led by Gerry Johnston.
Spring interment will be held in Burntland Brook, New Brunswick, at a
later date. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in
Darren’s memory to Kidney Foundation are welcomed. Private
