Claudia Ann Urquhart – 69, Riverview Home, Stellarton, formerly of Truro, passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 13, 1945, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Tattrie) Marr.

She liked to knit, read, do puzzles, paint and enjoyed making crafts and was a member of Truro Friendship Club.

Claudia is survived by her children, Larry Urquhart, Truro; Sheryl Johnson, Anna (Danny) Short, Alberta; Alice (Brad) Wood, Upper Musquodoboit; John (Julia) Urquhart, Bible Hill; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Bill) Bezanson, Truro; Deanna Reid, Dartmouth; brother, Roland Marr, Manganese Mines; former husband, James "Jim" (Barb) Urquhart, Truro Heights; sister-in-law, Jean Marr, Truro; brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Wilson, Hilden; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son, William in infancy; sisters, Geneva, Brenda; brothers, Sherman, Stanley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Claudia’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, and where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015, Mr. Bill Bezanson officiating. Reception will follow at Truro Lions Club, 1100 Prince Street, Truro. Spring interment in Robie Street Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Claudia’s memory to Canadian Mental Health (Colchester East Hants Branch) are welcomed.
