Dale
Campbell – Truro. With saddened hearts we
wish to announce the passing of Dale Campbell, 76, Truro, on Sunday,
February 15, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Dale
lost a 5 year battle with Kidney Disease and was surrounded by family
and friends. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Frank and
Marguerite (Brown) Campbell.
Along
with his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Frank
"Buddy" and Johnny; sister, Marjorie. He is survived by his
wife, Dianne, of 52 years; brothers, James (Laverne), and Wade
(Ester); sister, Judy (Chester); many loving nieces and nephews.
Dale
worked for Stanfield’s for many years. He was known for his
passion for people and sharing his Bible hope with others for
approximately the past 60 years. He served as an elder in the Cobequid
Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for most of that time.
Will always be remembered for his kindness, caring personality and
great sense of humor. Thanks to the Palliative Care Team, nurses on
Floor 3D and Dr. Cortney Smith for their special care.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the
Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation
by request. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, February
21, 2015, in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 183 Waller
Drive, Truro, David Spence officiating, with a reception to follow. In
lieu of flowers, donations in Dale’s memory may be made to
Kingdom Hall, Canadian Diabetes Association, or to Kidney Foundation.
