McNutt, Judith Lynn "Judy", 74, of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Mary (Hoare) Fowlie. Judy was a member of the North River Fire Fighter’s Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She was a volunteer with Special Olympics for several years, and an avid knitter, knitting many blankets, hats, etc. for newborns at the Truro Hospital. She was a great community minded person, always helping others when the need arose. She is survived by daughter, Valerie McLellan, Thailand; sons, Gary, Wolfville; Stephen, Calgary; Craig, Palm Springs, California; Corey (Mary Jane), Bible Hill; Trevor (Holly), Truro; sister, June MacIntosh, Marble Mountain; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim"; sisters, Frances, Joyce, Helen. Visitation will be held 5 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, and funeral service 2 p.m., Thursday, March 12, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating, with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment at a later date in the Aenon Baptist Church Cemetery, in Central North River. Family flowers only.
