Thurrott, Irene, 76,Murray Siding, Colchester County, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at home. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late James and Lena (Paupin) McAuley. Irene was a longtime employee having worked at the Scotia Bank, Main Branch, Truro.

She is survived by a daughter Shelley Thurrott of Halifax; sisters Margaret (Peggy) Richardson of Ottawa, Mildred Brymer (Lloyd) of Cole Harbour; brother Graham McAuley (Rosalie) of Guysborough; several nieces and nephews.

No visitation by family request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A graveside service will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Donations in memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
