Randall Curtis "Randy"
Brooks – 57, Debert,
passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at home as a result of previous
health conditions. Born February 18, 1958, in Hamilton, Ontario, he
was a son of James "Jim" and Theresa (McRae) Brooks,
Dartmouth.
Randy moved to Nova Scotia in 1969 and attended Prince Andrew
High School from where he graduated in 1976. He then studied at
Dalhousie University and received his Geology degree in 1980. He
worked in the oil industry as a consultant all over the world. An avid
sportsman, he enjoyed baseball, hockey, swimming and
football.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his brother,
Derrick Brooks, Edmonton, Alberta; sister, Pamela Brooks, Dartmouth;
nieces, Mackenzie, Madison; nephews, Curtis, Dennis, Aidan; several
aunts, uncles, cousins and a wide circle of friends.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Randy’s
life from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic
Club, 192 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth. Spring interment in Blackmore
Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River. If so desired, donations in
Randy’s memory to Blackmore Memorial Cemetery or a charity
of choice are welcomed.
