Eileen Christeen Langille – 68, Townsview Estates, Truro, formerly of Queen Street, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born January 17, 1947, in Wallace Bridge, she was a daughter of the late Simpson and Muriel (Smith) Langille.

In earlier years, Eileen attended Salvation Army, however, since becoming a resident of Townsview Estates, she has enjoyed attending the various worship services. Since moving to Townsview Estates, she has enjoyed meeting new friends and has been loved by all the staff there; she was considered to be part of the family.

Eileen is survived by her son, David Sprague, Truro; daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Sprague, Amherst; Amanda Murphy, Truro; brothers, James (Marilyn) Langille, Cornwall, Ontario; Charles (Gladys) Langille, Malagash; Raymond Langille, Truro; Kenneth Langille (Pattie Barclay), Hilden; brothers-in-law, George Vanderslyk, Malagash; Calvin Joyce, Truro; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mae Joyce, Julie Ann Vanderslyk; brothers, Gordon Langille, Chester Langille, Hughie Langille, Roy in infancy; brother-in-law, Herbie Benjamin.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Eileen’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015, and funeral service 1 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, Reverend Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Eileen’s memory to Colchester Community Workshops (Building Fund) are welcomed.
