Florence May (Mole) Lynds – 95, Truro,
passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015, at Cedarstone
Enhanced Care, Truro. Born May 15, 1920, in New Glasgow, she was the
daughter of the late Alfred and Barbara (Malcolm) Mole.
Florence was a member of Brunswick Street United Church,
where she was a member of the UCW and Princess Margaret’s
Guild. She was employed with Seldon B. Ryan’s Firestone
Store, GB Murphy’s Jewellers and Peoples Jewellers, retiring
in 1987.
Florence is survived by her son, Douglas (Ardyth) Lynds,
Valley; daughter, Carolyn (Owen) Weir, Bible Hill; grandchildren,
Scott, Kirk, Krista, Darren, Danny; eight great grandchildren. Along
with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Lynds;
son, Gary in infancy; brothers, Raymond and Cecil. The family would
like to thank the staff at Cedarstone Enhanced Care for their
excellent care and support of our Mother.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where
Florence’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.,
Friday, July 3, 2015, and where the funeral service will be held 11
a.m., Saturday, July 4, 2015, Reverend Valerie Kingsbury officiating.
Reception will follow. Interment in Watson Cemetery. If so desired,
donations in Florence’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova
Scotia or charity of choice are welcomed. Private messages of
