Rushton, Phyllis Elizabeth, 74, Bass River, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Folly Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Randall and Dorothy (Bannister) Jordan. Phyllis had a great love for her family and cherished her granddaughter Fiona, "Nanny’s Little Angel".

She is survived by her son Michael (Jennifer) of Whites Lake, NS; step-daughter Beverly Jordan of Bass River; granddaughter Fiona; sisters, Darlene Jordan of Great Village, Paulette Rushton (Allen) of Amherst, Marguerite Gregory of Great Village; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Ray Rushton; twins in infancy; brothers, Gary, Donald, John Randall in infancy; sister Linda in Infancy.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where visitation will take place on Saturday from 1pm until funeral service time at 2 pm.  Reverend Larry Tirrell will officiate with burial at a later date.  Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of choice.
