Lynds, James "Jim" Filmore (Flipper), 62, Lower Harmony, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 25, 2019 at home. Born April 27, 1957 in Truro, he was a son of the late Filmore and Joan (Frizzell) Lynds. Jim worked for several years out west as an iorn worker, retiring just a few years ago. He was a CLAC member for numerous years. He enjoyed remodeling his home and took great pride in all of his accomplishments. He was also a deep sea diver, enjoyed travelling around on his Harley Davidson and had a great love for animals.
Jim is survived by his only sister, Shelly Lynds, Truro; sister-in-law, Pamela, Harmony; his big fur baby Hudson, who he loved very much; several nieces and nephews. He had a lot of good friends and some who were from childhood, who he thought the world of.
He was predeceased by brothers, Gary Lynds and Kevin (Jody) Lynds.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where funeral service will take place on Saturday morning, Nov. 30th at 11:00 am. Reverend Valerie Kingsbury will officiate with burial to follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Southpaw-Conservation Nova Scotia.
