Clarke, Kevin Patrick, 77 years of Trenholm Lake Road,
Brookfield, NS passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019 at the QEII
Hospital, Halifax Nova Scotia, surrounded by the love of his family.
Kevin was born on September 9th, 1942 in Little Saint Lawrence, NL to
the late Archibald and Dorothy (Turpin) Clarke. Kevin worked all
across Canada, but he always yearned for the Maritimes. Kevin enjoyed
a 33-year career as a member of the RCMP, with postings in Ontario,
British Columbia, and Nova Scotia from which he retired. He counted
many of his previous colleagues among his closet friends. Kevin was a
fun-loving, gifted storyteller with a constant smile. Hockey, running,
and fishing were among his favorite activities. Kevin was also a
graceful ball room dancer and he and Rosalynd danced often. Travel
became a fundamental part of their retirement life. Camping locally
became a Nova Scotia passion as well.
Kevin will be forever loved by his wife Rosalynd and
children, Shawn (Sue); Shannon-Lee (Mike); Melody (Richard), Sherwyn,
and Darren (Charlene). Kevin will be missed by his grandchildren,
Paisley, Cole, Ceilidh, Nicole, Cherise, Derryk, Hannah and Zara. He
will also be remembered fondly by his godchild, Nora, and her brother
Isaac. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters; Margaret Aylward
and Donna Kendell; brothers, Peter, Alphonsus (Theresa), Adrian
(Gloria) and Brendan (Lise).
In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by his
first wife Carol and his sisters Laura and Delores.
A funeral mass will take place at the Immaculate Conception
Church at 669 Prince St. in Truro on Tuesday December 17, 2019, at
11am. Father Darius Miskowicz will officiate with a reception to
follow in Campbell Hall. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be
held at a later date. Family flowers only. If you so wish, memorial
donations in Kevin's name may be made to World Vision Canada, or a
