Wolfe, Marlyn Doris;It is with great sadness that the family of Marlyn Doris Wolfe of Bible Hill, NS, announce her passing on Friday, April 24, 2020, at the age of 82. Born on December 21, 1937 in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of the late Mildred and Ralph Doyle. Marlyn trained as a nurse at the Nova Scotia Hospital, graduating in 1959 and worked for Colchester East Hants Hospital until her retirement. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ronald; sons, Michael and Todd (Lesa Smith); daughter, Patty (Scott Annand); siblings, Norma (Marshall) Frizzell, Phillip Doyle, Arthur "Butch" (Nancy) Doyle, Shelley (Kent) Archibald; sisters-in-law, Pam Doyle, Rosemarie Doyle, Mary (Gerald) Carroll; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by siblings, Ducky Doyle, Sonny Doyle, Bill Doyle, and Diana Pender; Marlyn also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Aaron and Matthew Wolfe (Jessica Smith), Megan and Emily Annand; step-grandson, Jeremy Blair. Marlyn was a chartered member of the Salmon River Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary for 35 plus years. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, watching curling, golfing, spending time with her grandchildren, and get-togethers with her many long-time friends for lunches and birthday celebrations. Special thanks go out to the ICU and 3E wing of the Colchester Hospital, Chantel Bishop (Collaborative Care Clinic), and the Palliative Care team for their guidance and compassion. Sincere gratitude to Eleanor and Kristen (occupational therapy) and the Truro VON home care and nursing staff who were instrumental in allowing Marlyn to fulfill her wish of being at home. Memorial donations can be made to the Colchester Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) in honor of Kristen Beaton or Colchester East Hants Hospital Foundation. Visitation will be held 1 - 3 pm, Sunday, September 19, 2021, in the Salmon River Fire Hall, 1102 Salmon River Road, Salmon River, NS. Interment will follow at 4 pm in the Bible Hill Cemetery, 41 Warren Drive, Bible Hill, NS. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
