Debbie Creelman - 95, Bible Hill. We’d like to commemorate the life of Debbie Creelman which came to an end on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born Janet Debrah to the late Louis and Henrietta (Feener) Irving in Stewiacke, Debbie settled in Bible Hill with her husband, Walter (predeceased), and children, Linda, Jimmy (predeceased), Eric (predeceased) and Rick.

Debbie was constantly in motion, working in the sap house during maple season, growing blueberries in Earltown in earlier years, travelling to Europe and visiting family. She especially enjoyed trips to British Columbia and Alberta to visit her brothers, Bennie and Richard; nieces, Brenda and Lori; sister-in-law, Marlene, and always anticipated visits from "out West".

She loved auctions, and in the 80s would drive around with her friend, Isabel in a blue Volvo station wagon, always packed with a wicker picnic basket and change of clothes. She would always say "You can’t do business from an empty wagon."

Debbie’s ability to travel was curtailed when she broke her hip in her late 80s, an event that marked a steady decline in her health.

Debbie is survived by her children, Linda, Rick (Marsha); grandchildren, Caralee, Debra, James, Sam.

Thanks to the staff at Vimy Court for the care she received over the last three years, and the VON for the home care she received before that. If you would like to do something in Debbie’s memory, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Interment will be held at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of condolence may be sent to the family by viewing Debbie’s obituary on-line and selecting "Send A Condolence" at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
