Gerald Eric Glinz – 63, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, with his loving wife at his side, on Saturday morning, September 4, 2021, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Gerry and Ethel (McPhee) Glinz.

Eric had a very fulfilling career with the RCMP and retired in 2006 as a Constable. He and Shari enjoyed travelling and have camped in every province in Canada and every state in United States. He was a member of Truro Curling Club, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Eric is survived by his wife and best friend of 41 years, Shari (Smith); children, Andrew Glinz, Linacy, Pictou County; Dawn Glinz, Salmon River; Gerald (Sarah) Glinz, Valley; grandchildren, Laura Dunlap, Eli, Luca and Tessa Glinz; siblings, Linda Ross, Truro; Robbie (Gail) Glinz, Ontario; Trish (Lothar) Schollmeier, Brookfield; Ernie Glinz (DJ Bennett), Forest Glen; sister-in-law, Winnie Glinz, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie Glinz.

Honouring Eric’s wishes, a private family interment will be held at Robie Street Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro. If so desired, donations in Eric’s memory to Diabetes Canada are welcomed.
