David Eric Hayward – 77, Truro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Joyce (Conrod) Hayward.

David had many jobs over the years which included Irving Oil, woodsman and farming.

David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon (Whalley); children, Michelle (Robert) Wood, Parrsboro; David Hayward, Upper Brookside; grandchildren, Danielle, Cheyenne, Kaitlyn; sister, Elsie (Ralph) Finck, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary (Clarence Jr.) Works; brothers, Delbert (Edith) Hayward, Russell Hayward, Douglas Hayward (Pauline Bruce).

All are welcome to attend a graveside interment service that will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Crossroads Cemetery, 110 Salmon River Road, Valley, Pastor Scott Penner officiating. If so desired, donations in David’s memory to Truro Alliance Church (Building Fund) are welcomed.
