Dyment, Edwina Mae
– 60, Bass River passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at
home. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Charles Dyment
and Sheila (Cook) Dyment McLaren.
Edwina enjoyed playing
darts, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and baking. She was a caring
woman and had her own way of showing it. She loved her family,
especially all of her grandchildren.
Edwina is survived by
her son, Roderick "Roddy" Cox Jr., Bass River; daughter,
Amanda (Luke) Gallagher, Springhill; sisters, Edith (Roland) Bond,
Hastings, Ontario; Theresa (Adam) McLaren, Peterborough, Ontario;
grandchildren, Isaac, Emily, Lyla, Maeve and new grandson, Alexander
coming in March 2022, who she was looking forward to meeting; and
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband,
Roderick "Roddie" Cox Sr.; and sister, Charlene
Dyment.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A
graveside service will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 in Stillman
Cemetery, Salt Springs, Reverend Jim Webber-Cook officiating. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
