Lloyd drove a school bus for over twenty years and charter buses for both Acadia Lines and MacLellan’s bus lines. He had also been a cub and scout leader. Lloyd was a member of the Bible Hill Garden Club and took great pride in his vegetable garden with "straight rows". After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and pieces of his furniture will be treasured by many friends and relatives. Lloyd enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and anything related to nature. He was the neighbourhood Mr. Fix-it and especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was proud of all his family to whom he will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to Dr. Lucy Helyer and her surgical team at the VG Site, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax; the health care workers there and in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre; the VON; and Lloyd’s doctor for many years, Dr. Trevor Locke. All of his medical staff were fantastic workers and their support was greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Lloyd’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, November, 13, 2021. (Please note that proof of double vaccination and photo identification will be requested prior to entry to the funeral home for visitation and masks must be worn at all times; thank you for your co-operation and understanding.)
