June Kathleen Cox – 87, Farnham Road, Bible Hill, formerly of Brookside Road, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Lower Truro, on Friday afternoon, November 12, 2021. Born in Greenfield, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Minnie (Robson) Bartlett.

Before marriage, June worked for the MacMillan family as their Nanny and she also babysat and helped raise many other children. She was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed clogging with her sister and granddaughter and absolutely loved playing Bingo! Many have described her as a sweet lady and family and neighbours will fondly remember "June’s Quick Lunch" on Farnham Road where you could always stop in and get a delicious bite to eat!

June is survived by her children, Judy (Edmond) Simpson, North River; Charles (Cynthia) Cox, Bible Hill; Larry (Yvonne) Cox, Sutherland’s Lake; Heather (Kim) Williams, Lawrencetown Beach; Wanda (Colin) Kent, Lower Truro; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Bill) Sandeson, Angevine Lake; Marge (Darrell) Sandeson, Greenfield; Vonnie (Hollis) Carter, Sutherland’s Lake; brothers, Sonny (Gloria) Bartlett, Onslow; Donnie (Minnie) Bartlett, Ontario; Bobbie Bartlett, Truro; Bennie (Viola) Bartlett, North River; brother-in-law, Lloyd Bond, Ontario.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Murray Arthur Cox; sisters, Shirley Bond, Dolly (Arthur) Veniott, Gail Bartlett in infancy; brother, Gilbert Bartlett.

Special thanks are extended to the Palliative Care Team and VON for their support which allowed us to keep Mom at home until the time of her death.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where June’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021, and memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, Reverend Phillip Kennedy officiating.
