Hull, Richard Eustace
"Rick" – 64, of Bible Hill passed away peacefully
after a short courageous illness, on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at
home. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late James "Jim"
and Beulah (Mattinson) Hull.
Rick was the proud
owner of Hull Electrical Service Ltd., serving his community for 25
years. In his late teens, he spent several years in the scouting
movements, being a cub leader at Alice Street School and achieving
several leadership levels. Rick enjoyed traveling to new places and
exploring the area. He also loved camping and boating in the Chester
area and Country Harbour as well as camping, fishing, boating and four
wheeling in Advocate Harbour and Spencer’s Island. Rick was
proud to restore and take his 52 Willies military jeep on many
adventures. Rick enjoyed seeing and talking to his Amateur Radio
friends and he made many contacts of other Amateur Radio operators all
over the world.
Rick is survived by
his wife and soulmate of 36 years, Ruth (Wood); daughter, Katelyn
(Joel) Hull; son, Matthew (Holly) Hull; brother, David (Kathleen)
Hull; mother-in-law, Mona Wood; sister-in-law, Kathy
Wood.
A Graveside service
will take place 2 pm Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Bible Hill Cemetery,
Reverend John Parsons officiating. If so desired, donations may be
made in Rick’s memory to VON, Brunswick Street United Church
or a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall
~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
