Frances Irene Collins – 82, Bible Hill, formerly of Upper Onslow, passed away peacefully, with her daughter Janie at her side, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Mercer) Watson.

Frances enjoyed keeping in contact with her children, family and friends during their daily phone calls. She loved her family dearly and looked forward to her Sunday visits with Janie and her golden retriever, Sophie; every visit was filled with conversation and in the winter months they would watch Christmas movies and in the summer months they would go for drives and out for meals. She loved music and would listen to the bands practicing at her apartment complex at any chance she could.

Frances is survived by her children, Kirby Collins, Wolfville; Carolee (Don) Lightbody, Halifax; Janie Gifford, Truro; grandchildren, Eric (Caitlin) Gifford, Tiffany Gifford, Samantha Collins, Cassidy Collins; great grandchildren, Finn, Jemma, Rowan, Maverick, Graham; sisters, Barbara Campbell, Truro; Norma Jean Blizzard, Sandra Forgraves, Saint John, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Lee "Herbie" Collins; son, Donald Collins; sisters, Bernice Mallory, Dorothy Strang, Joyce Roy; brothers, William Watson, Raymond Watson, Donald Watson, Ralph Watson, Arthur Watson, Brian Watson.

Private family interment will be held at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery, 41 Warren Drive, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations in Frances’ memory to Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.
