Margaret Loleta "Marg" (King) Collins – 79, formerly of Central Onslow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022 with her family by her side at Magnolia Rosecrest, Enfield. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth (Dryden) King.

Marg is survived by her children, Christina King (Gary), North River; Jeffrey Cavanaugh (Kimberly), Masstown; step-children, Tara Collins-Surette (Keith), Belmont; grandchildren, Danny (Lindsay), Hilden; Cory and Riley, Masstown; step-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ryland; great granddaughter, Myla; brother, Carl King, Winnipeg, Manitoba; cousins, Pat Dryden, Ontario; Betty Baxter, Amherst; several nieces and nephews.

Marg was predeceased by her husband, Phillip Collins; siblings, Bill King; Jim King; Hazel (King) McSwain; brother-in-law, Neil and niece, Margie Rose McSwain.

In her earlier years, Marg worked at Stanfield’s Ltd. in Truro, then moving to Ontario she began a new career. Upon returning to Nova Scotia, she went to work at Crossley Karastan Carpet Mills where she worked in the accounts receivable department for many years until retirement. She enjoyed gardening, old time music and loved a good game of cards. Marg was a member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In keeping with family wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. If so desired, donations in Marg’s memory can be made to Onslow Island Cemetery.
