Caroline Jill Harjung – 71, Lantz, passed away peacefully, at her daughter’s home in Pine Grove, on Friday, May 13, 2022. Born in Toronto on October 14, 1950, which was Boy Scout Apple Day, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Wilson) Coker. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved, Kerry Coburn.

Caroline was the beloved Mom to Megan; Grandma to Ainsley and Mitchell; Step-Mom to Lisa, Gina, Audra, Tanya, Nikkie and Step-Grandma to their children and Momma #2 to Erica Saunders. She will also be greatly missed by her brother, John and his partner, Bryan and her sister, Dawn Ellen (Bob) and their children.

Mom was an active volunteer in the many communities she lived in and she was a long serving member of Boy Scouts of Canada and United Church Women. She volunteered her time at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston. On many occasions, she volunteered her accounting prowess to many of those organizations.

Mom was happiest at the baseball diamonds and was a long-time member of the Beeton Mixed Slo pitch league, whether she was keeping score, grabbing her glove to spare or encouraging us all to "hit the damn ball"! She rarely missed a game, was everyone’s "Baseball Mom" and truly loved her baseball family. Her door was always open for a cup of coffee, a hug or a kick in the butt, whichever she thought you needed that day, and sometimes, all three! She will be truly missed by all.

Celebration of Caroline’s life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Milford-Lantz United Church, 2134 Highway 2, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations to Boy Scouts of Canada, UCW of any United Church or Stevenson Memorial Hospital are welcomed.
