Catherine Rachel (MacDonald)
Langille – 62, Truro,
passed away in her sleep on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home.
Although born in New Glasgow, she lived most of her life in
Truro.
On most Wednesday evenings, you would usually find her
playing bingo, and when she wasn’t playing bingo, she
enjoyed baking with her daughters. Family was her life and she adored
her daughters and granddaughters, telling everyone about them. She was
loved by many friends and workers at STEPS on Arthur (Colchester
Community Workshop) as well as at People First. Many will remember her
friendliness and her quick wit cracking jokes and making people smile,
especially the VON members who took care of her. You will be missed
and are loved by many.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Dennis Langille;
daughters, Ashley Langille and Lillian Langille (James Carr); sisters,
Colleen Jobe and Faye MacDonald; granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Mary and Spencer Simpson;
sister, Cheryl MacDonald.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service
will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Interment in Bible
Hill Cemetery, 41 Warren Drive, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations
in Rachel’s memory to Diabetes Canada or Heart and Stroke
