Florence Latisha Roberts – 59, Highland
Village, Colchester County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her
loving family, on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late
George and Georgina (Eagles) Currie.
Florence raised her family, and looked after many
neighbourhood children as well, affectionately known as
"Mom" to more than just her own children. For the past five
years, she worked at The Mira Long Term Care Centre. She enjoyed
reading her romance novels, and would often swap bags and boxes full
of novels with her mother-in-law, doing crossword puzzles, playing
TV/radio Bingo, making preserves, cooking and baking.
She excelled in the kitchen, and although she shared the
recipes with her family, they will not be able to make peanut
clusters, chocolate delights, double chocolate chip cookies, cherry
cheesecake, potato salad, strawberry jam, pickles and beets like she
did, to name only a few of the delicious things she made. Family meant
everything to Florence; she was raised in a large family and had a
large family of her own. Much love was shared over the years and
memories made.
Florence is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roy;
children, Jonathan Roberts (Lucas Schofield), Truro; Melissa Priest,
Truro Heights; Sarah (Travis) Jollimore, Highland Village; Peter
Roberts, Truro; grandchildren, Jayden, Seth, Damian, Kadence,
Charleigh, Taylor, Tucker, Peter Jr.; siblings, Glenda Currie, Truro
Heights; Jesse (Janet) Currie, North River; Kathleen (Richard) Sinton,
Truro; George Currie, Truro; Greg (Sherry) Currie, Truro; Star (Wayne)
Corkum, Truro; Trina Currie (Shane Bernard), Lantz; Amanda Trites,
Truro Heights; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, two

granddaughter, Bleu.
