Annemarie Traverse – 63, Truro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Anne (Carr) Cook.

Annemarie worked at Munroe Lodge as a LPN until 2007 when ill health forced her to retire. She enjoyed crocheting, watching comedies on TV, listening to music, especially Elton John and 60s/70s pop and loved shopping! Miss Sassypants will be remembered for her quick wit and sassy tongue!

Annemarie is survived by her children, Sarah Traverse, Kathleen Traverse, Robert Traverse (Claire Harris), all of Truro; grandchildren, Parker MacKenzie, Bronwyn MacLeod, Suzie MacLeod, Lydia MacLeod, Winston Himmelman, Hazel Himmelman, Erin Traverse; sisters, Jean (Gord) Kruger, Christine (Wayne) Turner, Ontario; partner, Donald Lake, Truro; many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be held at a later date in Ontario. If so desired, donations in Annemarie’s memory to Parkinson Foundation or IWK Health Centre Foundation are welcomed.
