Mary Ellen Graves
Gregg – 81, Truro,
passed away peacefully, with her three sons at her side, on Saturday,
August 20, 2022, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born
in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter
of the late Charles and Nita (Graves) Bryant.
Mary Ellen worked with North American Van Lines as a
bookkeeper for many years. She was a meticulous bookkeeper, homemaker
and researcher, and when she found a topic that interested her, she
would research it and know more about it than the experts! She was an
intelligent and smart lady who had a great sense of humour. She had a
huge heart, and would help anyone, but you always knew where you stood
with her! Getting a smile from her for a picture took lots of
patience, as she always seemed to know where the camera was, but when
we captured that shot, it was perfect!
Mary Ellen is survived by her sons, Stewart (Lisa Fogarty),
Regina, Saskatchewan; Rick (Angela), Tantallon; Rod (Lee Ann
Atwater), Bedford; grandchildren, Cameron, Nicholas
(Bridget), Erica, Andrew, Olivia, Calli, Troy; sister-in-law, Helen
(Prosser) Bryant; sister-in-law, Anne (Monahan) Bryant; several nieces
and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her
husband of 54 years, George;
siblings, Junior, Murray, Beverly, and
Arnold; her canine companion, Jilleen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –

Ellen’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.,
