Thomas Albert Higgins – age 82, of Truro. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother on November 13, 2022 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born in Westchester Valley, Tommy was a son of the late Albert and Grace (Adams) Higgins of Londonderry Station.

In Tommy’s earlier years, he worked as a woodsman for Arnold Giddens and Keith Smith.

Tommy is survived by his sisters, Marjorie (Rueben) of Amherst, Mary (Robert) of Truro, Jewell and Priscilla both of Truro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gary; sisters, Lee Wood, Lil Mitchell, Winnie Spencer; sister-in-law, Maria; brothers-in-law, Stan, Prescott, Charlie, Llewellyn, Dennis, Fred and John.

The family would like to thank the staff of Townsview Estates for taking care of Tommy while he was there.

As requested by Tommy, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
