Arnold George Dedrick – 85, Great Village, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Debert Court, Debert. Born in Little River, Digby County, he was a son of the late William and Winnie Davis.

Arnold worked for many years with Kent Homes, delivering and setting up homes. He was active in the community, lending a helping hand to anyone, and volunteered with Great Village and District Volunteer Fire Brigade. He enjoyed working at his Christmas tree lot in Peek-A-Boo, pruning trees and getting them ready to be sold. He was his children’s number one fan in whatever sport they were playing in childhood or as adults and he loved his grandchildren dearly. He also liked to sing and play guitar and enjoyed entertaining anyone who would listen.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Georgina (Upham); children, Curtis (Ann) Millen, Little Dyke; Dennis Millen, Five Houses; Marilyn (Perry) MacKinnon, Skir Dhu, Cape Breton; Donna (Tim) Sharpe, Great Village; Doug Dedrick, Red Deer, Alberta; Debbie (Scott) Lundie, Glenholme; Rodger Dedrick, Halifax; grandchildren, Allan Millen (Bobby Jo), Eric Millen (Jacy), Melissa Sharpe (John), Jonathan Millen (Megan), Alicia Sharpe (Jeff), Nathan Millen (Natasha), Ryan Millen (Tanya), Samantha McMasters (Eric), Brandon Millen (Clarissa), Sarah Millen (Allan), Brett Lundie, Dylan MacDonald (Samantha), Brooke MacDonald (Rob), Drew Lundie (Marissa), Ashton Lundie, Anthony Lundie, Leo Lundie; many great grandchildren. Special thanks to all the staff at Debert Court for their excellent care over the past three years; you made our Dad feel at home and we know that he was well cared for.
