Virginia Elaine "Ginny" Moore – 83, Truro
Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, November 28, 2022,
at her home. When she was born, Virginia Elaine, commonly known as
Ginny, became the newest addition to the family of Ruby and Elmer
Arbeau in Upper Blackville, New Brunswick. Her older siblings were
Patricia, Archie, Basil, Clyde, Eric, Arnold, and Zena. In
the coming years, she acquired a brother, Keith and two sisters,
Carole and Paulette.
Ginny and her family lived in various parts of Canada,
including British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, and
eventually settled in Truro Heights, where she lived for the past 48
years. She provided daycare services for the better part of three
decades, during which time she touched the lives of almost 100
children.
Always concerned for the well-being of others, Ginny
volunteered countless hours at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, where she
often provided comfort to individuals during their final hours. She
was also very actively involved in Truro Heights United Baptist
Church, where she taught Sunday school, Kid’s Club and was a
member of the Board of Trustees, Social Committee, fundraising events
and community outreach.
Ginny was predeceased by her first husband, David Spinney;
second husband, Major (Mike) Moore.
She is survived by children, Suzanne Baker, Kevin (Cindy)
Spinney, Jamie (Suzy) Spinney, Sheryl (Clark) MacLeod, Tammy (Tim)
Jones, Sherry, Allen, Tony (Michelle), Todd (Mildred) Moore;
grandchildren, Kathleen Spinney, Harvey Spinney, Catriona MacLeod,
Camren MacLeod, Spencer Jones, Courtney Baker, Alex Baker; siblings,
Clyde and Eric, New Brunswick; Zena Parrsboro; Carole, Toronto,
Ontario; Paulette, Truro Heights.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Ginny's family will
receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2022 at
Truro Heights United Baptist Church, 343 Truro Heights Road, Truro
Heights. Spring interment in Truro Heights Cemetery. No flowers by
Ginny's personal request. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ginny's
memory to Truro Heights United Baptist Church are welcomed and can be
made at the funeral home or by etransfer directly to the church. (If
