Mary Margaret "Maisie" Macdonald – 93, Sydney River. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Margaret "Maisie" Macdonald, who was surrounded by family on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Maple Brook, Inverness County, Maisie was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (MacIntyre) MacEachern.

Maisie was a very active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Catholic Women's League. She was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. She truly enjoyed all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always there to help.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Bob" Macdonald; sisters, Mary (George) Rudderham, Anne MacEachern; brother, Donald (Mary) MacEachern.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Patricia) Macdonald, Sydney; Maureen (Wayne) MacLean, Halifax; grandchildren, Ainsley (Grant) MacLean, Halifax; Kristen MacLean, Dartmouth; Jennifer (Chris) Young, Coxheath; Laura Macdonald, Sydney; cherished great-grandchildren, Ella, Daniel, Liam, Ben, Delilah; niece, Brenda (Kerry) White; nephews, Arnie (Char) Rudderham, Greg (Jean) Rudderham, Paul (Debbie) Rudderham.

Special thanks are extended to all the wonderful staff at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Interment will be held at a later date in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro. If so desired, donations in Maisie’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
