Finley Gerard MacEachern - 68, Millbrook, Colchester County,
formerly of Antigonish. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of Finley MacEachern on Sunday, May 7, 2023, after a 22 year
illness that he fought on his own, without a
complaint.
Fin, a legend, was a stubborn man and did everything in his
own way. He worked hard on different farms across Nova Scotia before
settling in Millbrook. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to
anyone in need and will be greatly missed by his
community.
He is survived by his partner, Bernadette Gloade, and her
children, Rose Gloade (Brenden), RJ Gloade (Destiny), Vincent Denny;
grandchildren, who looked up to him with admiration, Carter, Caleb,
Cohen, Kaiden, Alyah, Kaiden, Riley; siblings, John (Joan) MacEachern,
Manitouwadge, Ontario; Bernie MacEachern, Antigonish; Terry Delorey,
Ontario; Jeanette Benoit (Clyde Bowman), Afton; sister-in-law, Rose
Feltmate, Pomquet; special nieces, Susan (Brent) Bethune, Lochaber;
Cheryl Feltmate, Pomquet; great niece, Lily.
Finley was predeceased by his sisters, Rita Smith, Marie
Henneberry; brother and best friend, Jimmy Feltmate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where visitation with
Finley’s casket will be held 2-4 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023.
Finley will then be cremated and visitation with his urn will be held
2-4 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 146 Coach Road, Millbrook.
Interment will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Sacred
Heart Cemetery, Millbrook.
