Paul Rodney Little – 76, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, with his loving wife at his side, on Friday morning, May 19, 2023, at Shannex Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mildred (Etter) Little.

Paul began his career teaching at Truro Junior High School and retired from teaching at Onslow Junior High School. When he left teaching, he became a full time dairy farmer, owning and operating Luap Farm in North River with his wife, Dorothy. In 1998, he gave up the dairy portion of farming but continued to farm the land. He also enjoyed maintaining the family’s rental properties, many times coercing his kids into stripping wallpaper or painting or some other painstaking task. His interests were varied and included a passion for horses, blueberry fields, antique car dealer and antique car shows and attending bluegrass festivals at Stewiacke River Park. Above all, he was a true family man who put his family first, and when his children were younger, he was a true "hockey Dad". He and Dorothy were members of First United Church, Truro.

Paul was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Sullivan); children, Kathy (Doug) Clarke, Halifax; John Paul Little, Pictou; Michael Little (Susan Pardy), North River; Carla (James) Hamilton, Beaver Brook; Robbie Little, Fort McMurray, Alberta; grandchildren, Emily Clarke, Emma Pardy-Little, Rachel Clarke, Hannah Pardy-Little, Carson Clarke, Ben Pardy-Little, Jack Pardy-Little, Owen Hamilton, Allie Hamilton, Patrick Little, Andie Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Peter Nicholson (Annabelle Bain), Herb (Natalie) Little, Christie Nicholson (Sean Pangia), Toby (Phillip) Williams, Geoff Fage, Christian Thompson, Stephen Thompson. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Marilee Little, Doreen Nicholson, Karen Fage, Glenda Thompson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, Reverend Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception will follow. Interment at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Parkinson Foundation Canada are welcomed.
