Michael Ernest "Mike" Collins – 75, Crowes Mills, passed away suddenly at home, as a result of natural causes, on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born in Farnborough, England, he was a son of the late Ernest and Margaret (Southwood) Collins.

Mike was an active member of Truro Alliance Church and most recently worked at Inn on Prince.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan "Susie" (Mattison); children, Stacey (Michelle) Collins, Kim (Mark) Hayman, Abigail (Adam) Fahey, Amanda (Ravi) Nilmadub, Emily Collins, Belinda (Andrew) Brown, Dulcie (Richard) Thomas, Sally-Ann (Daniel) Makin; 33 grandchildren; brother, Terry (Yvonne) Collins; sister, Gesuine (Graham) Martin. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Yvonne Ryle.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall- Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Mike’s family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2023. Celebration of Mike’s life will be held 2 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at Truro Alliance Church, 195 Truro Heights Road, Truro Heights, Pastor Scott Penner officiating. If you wish to send flowers, they will be donated to Wynn Park Villa after the service for the enjoyment of their residents, so joyful flower arrangements are appreciated. If so desired, charitable donations to the two charities that Mike was involved with, Jews for Jesus and Compassion Canada where he sponsored a child are welcomed.

Michael will be repatriated back to England where his children will have a funeral and burial.
