Sylvia Dolores
McMillan – passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at
Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of
the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Reeves) MacPherson.
Sylvia lived in Onslow
for the past seventy plus years, where she was a stay at home Mum and
Grandmother, keeping her grandchildren in their younger
years.
She will be sadly
missed by her family, Iola (Ron, deceased 2019) Crowe, Wayne (Carol)
McMillan, Darlene (Vic) MacFarlane; by her grandchildren, Darren
Crowe, Shelley (Charles) MacLellan, Wade McMillan, Renee (Grant)
Rhodenzier, Krista Clements, Sarah (Peter) Newell, Nathan (Jill)
MacFarlane, Leah (Greg) Roy; great-grandchildren, Brennan Crowe,
Haidyn Oudman, Olivia (Jared) Comeau and Grady Clements, Atlanta
(Olivia Ward), Ella (Liam Nixon), Octavia and Kerva Newell, Sabastian,
Memphis, Delayh and Preston Roy; one great great-grandchild, Lincoln
Comeau; close friend, Joyce McMillan; several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by
her husband, Stanley (2004); brother, Bernard MacPherson; sister,
Lorraine Smith and son-in-law, Ron Crowe.
The family wishes to
extend a special thank you to Miller Lane of Vimy Court for all the
kindness and compassion shown to Sylvia.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
Street, Truro, where a funeral service will be held 1 pm Sunday, April
7, 2024 with Reverend Glenn MacLean officiating and followed by a
reception. By family request there will be no visitation. Public
