Louise Janet Cavanaugh – 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Debert Court. Born in Earltown, she was a daughter of the late Edna Marshall and Lyon McCallum and later moved to North River.

Louise enjoyed music, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and dancing with her friends. Always an avid animal enthusiast, she loved horses, dogs and cats.

Louise will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her companion, Vincent; daughter, Janice; son, Terry; grandchildren, Shawn, April, Corey, Danielle, Jalynn, TJ, Adam, Kierstin and Kayla; 15 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Cavanaugh; brother, Leroy, daughter, Shelley; son, Darren; grandson, Michael and 2 great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro where a Celebration of Louise’s Life will be held 1 pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Reverend Connie Stewart officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Blackmore Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Louise to a charity of choice are welcomed.
