Delmar Norris Reid – 81, Truro, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 at The Mira Long-Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Dougal and Anna (White) Reid.

Delmar is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Kamal) Mydean, Truro; Edna Laffin, New Glasgow; brothers, Neil (Joyce) Reid, Pictou; George (Joan) Reid, Truro; sister-in-law, Mabel Reid, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, William Reid, Parker Reid; sisters, Carol Carr, Elizabeth Daniel, Laura Blois, Elodie Taylor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Delmar’s family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Reverend George I. Luke, II officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Old Barns Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Delmar’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
