G. Keith Blois – 88, Murray Siding. It is with heavy hearts that Keith’s family announce that on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, with his family by his side, his favourite music playing and the morning sun rising, he went home to be with his Lord and Saviour.

Keith had different jobs over the years, but he took great pride with his job at Truro Cemetery Corporation until his early retirement. Keith continued to help his brother, Wayne in the Onslow Island Cemetery and, of course, Truro Heights Cemetery.

Keith’s passion in life was always helping others and going the extra mile to get things done. Keith mowed, trimmed, shovelled, picked up flyers for his neighbours for years and always did these things with a smile. He never put himself first, always others, and cherished each and every day.

Keith is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha (Cameron); daughters, Denice (Vince), Salmon River; Valerie (Harry Sr.), West St. Andrews; grandchildren, Nichole (Shawn), Moncton, New Brunswick; Harry Jr. (Ceilidh), Salmon River; Ashley (Brady), Sheet Harbour; great grandchildren, Lily and Jasmine, Moncton, New Brunswick; sister, Avis, Brampton, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Betty, Truro; Carol, Onslow; Lynn, Scarborough, Ontario; brother-in-law, Logan, Debert; his special family, Nina, Carly, Emily; cousin, Glenn; many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Isaac "Doug" and Inez (Carter) Blois, he was predeceased by his son, Mitchell; sister, Joan; brothers, Gerry, Graham, Logan, Brian.

The family would like to thank his family and friends for their visits, love and support during his time at Vimy Court. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Vimy Court for all you did for Keith and especially in his final hours.

Keith’s family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, all at Truro Heights United Baptist Church, 343 Truro Heights Road, Truro Heights, Reverend Connie Stewart officiating. (If you can, wear something in blue, as that was Keith’s favourite colour.) Interment in Truro Heights Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Keith’s memory to Truro Heights United Baptist Church, Truro Heights Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be shared at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
