It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Ronald Stewart, 62 from Brookfield, Nova Scotia. Known to many as the life of the party, forever spreading laughter, joy, with a dash of mischief, Brian departed the world on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Brian was born in 1962 (11 days after Kenneth MacKenzie). He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Sherry; son, Jerad (Hayley); daughters, Caitlyn, Alicia (Ryan); stepsons, Devin (Hillary) and Dylan (Meranda); his nine grandchildren,  Jackson, Toby, Ethan, William, Norah, Deegan, Weston, Stella, and Levi; his parents, Marilyn and Jerry; brothers, Geoff (Joanne) and Michael (Leslie).

In his early years, Brian spent much of his time at Folly Lake water skiing, touring in the Willys Jeep, or tossing horseshoes with family. He loved camping in Humphrey fields or Dudy (Craig’s) happy place with his kids and friends. Halloween was his time to shine. Pranks were guaranteed and so was laughter when spending time with him.

Brian was happiest when he and his wife, Sherry were surrounded by friends, family, or traveling to new places. Making new friends along the way and then staying connected to those people. He loved dancing, and often stole the show on the dance floor. The revolving door of village visitors always brought him joy. Block parties, fire side chats, and spending time at their beautiful Twin Brook ‘Meadwoes’ would always kick off with an EEHHH and end with some form of foolery.

Brain was hilariously creative and was loved by many. His legacy will live on in the memories we all hold so dear.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Brian’s life will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at his home, 6 Hamilton Avenue, Brookfield. If so desired donations in Brian’s memory to Cerebral Palsy Canada Network https://www.cpcanadanetwork.com/ or to Stoller Kids Foundation https://www.stollerykids.com/donate/ are welcomed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be shared at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
