Patricia Anne (Goldham) Nursey – 76, Bedford,
formerly of Beaver Bank, passed away peacefully with family in her
heart and by her side on Friday afternoon, August 16, 2024 at Halifax
Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. Born in Toronto, she was the first daughter
of the late NHL Legend Robert "Bob" John and Elinor Alicia
(Platt) Goldham.
Pat was an incredibly loving, loyal and committed wife and
mother. She studied to become a Legal Secretary at Seneca College in
Toronto. She moved to Halifax in the early 70s to support Rick in his
career. She was a stay at home mother for most of her life, but worked
part-time for Bedford Institute of Oceanography, Girl Guides of Canada
and was a dedicated Avon representative. She handled most of the
responsibilities at home while Rick pursued his labour of
love.
She was a Girl Guide growing up, spent time at summer camps
and loved spending summers at the family cottage in Bobcaygeon,
Ontario. Family and her large group of friends were incredibly
important to her
She was a devoted and long-standing member of Knox United
Church in Lower Sackville where she was a member of the church choir,
UCW, Knox Players Dinner Theater and countless other church
groups.
She spent numerous hours in her gardens, keeping everything
colourful and looking just right all the while competing with the
local deer and other vermin for what would be an ongoing battle. Pat
and the late love of her life, Rick, would travel extensively in the
years leading up to and including retirement. They travelled to
Europe, the Caribbean and revisiting South Carolina, Georgia and
Florida many times. She also loved cruising in her red mustang
convertible, always with the top down!
Pat is survived by her loving sister, Barbara Loynahan; sons,
Robert "Bob" John (Crystal) Richard James "Jimmy";
sister-in-law, Catherine Nursey; brother-in-law, William Nursey
(Mary-Lynn); grandchildren, Hunter, MacKenzie, Kaley, Harrison; love
of her life, dog Posey and granddogs, David and Goliath

Lower Sackville, Reverend Tom Woods officiating. Reception will
follow. Interment in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, 1078 Old Sackville
Road, Middle Sackville.
Flowers were her passion, however, no flowers are necessary,
but what is necessary is our ask for you to please go out into the
world and love unconditionally the way Pat always did. If so desired,
