Audrey May King – 91, Truro, passed away peacefully
with her granddaughter, Emily, at her side, on Monday morning,
September 29, 2025, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Miramichi, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late John
and Mary (Gallant) King.
Audrey was a good and kind hearted person and was very
talented. She enjoyed crafting, and could take odds and ends of
different materials, and make them into something beautiful; many of
us will forever cherish the crafts she made and gave to us. Many will
remember seeing Audrey walking around town, and the staff at the
various taxi companies she used, and the staff at MacQuarries
Pharmasave will remember her and the Christmas cards she used to bring
to them. She had a great memory and remembered all special occasions.
Audrey enjoyed the simple things in life and took great pleasure in
everything; it didn’t have to be expensive to have beauty in
her eyes.
Audrey is survived by her children, Ralph MacLellan, Truro;
Darrell (Brenda) MacLellan, Bible Hill; Paul MacLellan (Angi McInnis),
Bible Hill; Robert MacLellan, Brampton, Ontario; grandchildren,
Brandon (Katie) MacLellan, Emily McInnis, Alyssa McInnis, Nikita
MacLellan, Joseph MacLellan, Ryan MacLellan, Courtney (Stiofan)
O’Dalaigh; five great grandchildren; sister, Millie King,
St. Catharine’s, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Along
with her parents, she was predeceased by several
siblings.
Private family interment will be held in Truro Cemetery, 125
Robie Street, Truro. If so desired, donations in Audrey’s
memory to IWK Health Centre Foundation are welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
