Rosemary was a member of Truro Heights United Baptist Church,
stepping down as Church Clerk in late February 2025. She was a past
member of the choir and most recently, The Praise Team; she was loved
by her church family and will be missed by all who knew
her.
After her graduation from North Colchester High School in
Tatamagouche, Rosemary began her working career as a data entry clerk
at Brookfield Foods where she met her husband of 53 plus years. She
went on to study in Kansas City, USA, working toward a career in
Airline Travel Service, at Atlantic Travel Service, Truro. After
marriage and spending the early years home with her daughter, Sheri,
Rosemary returned to the work force in retail, as a sales clerk at
Reitman’s, then as an Administrative Assistant at Truro
Police Department to reception at Crossley Carpets, moving therein
after several years to Domestic and International, Inside
Sales, for multiple years and then ended her professional
career, holding different positions over a 16 year period at Chignecto
Regional School Board Offices in Truro.
Rosemary’s many interests included reading, sewing,
gardening, helping out where needed in church activities, spending as
much time as possible with the grandkids, and of course, traveling
from Hawaii, Mexico, California, Nevada, Florida and many other
States, a cruise to the Bahamas and many locations within Nova Scotia
and the Maritimes at large, as well as other provinces throughout
Canada. She often said, "I’ve never been anywhere I
didn’t like or wouldn’t want to revisit." And
revisited many, she did, on numerous occasions.
Special thanks are extended to the doctors and nurses from
Home Palliative Care, as well as VON for their assistance, support and
professionalism over these past seven plus months of her
care.
