Shannon Mae (Rossignol) Andersen – 54, Bible Hill,
passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her own home, and surrounded
by the love of family, on Thursday evening, May 7, 2026. Born in
Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and grew up in Rowena, New Brunswick,
she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Carole (Swazey)
Rossignol.

Perth-Andover in 1990. She furthered her studies at Dalhousie
University, from where she graduated in 1994 with a degree in
Physiotherapy and began her career at Hôtel-Dieu
Saint-Joseph in Perth-Andover. Also in 1994, she married her high
school sweetheart, Christian Andersen, and they began their married
life together.
In 2005, Shannon and Christian moved to Truro for Shannon to
join the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department, as
manager, at Colchester Regional Hospital. From that point, she
continued in a managerial role within various departments until her
retirement in 2022 from Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
She was a member of Connection Wesleyan Church, Truro, and for a
period of time led the music ministry there. Many folks have
commented on Shannon’s talent at the piano, it was important
to her to use this gift to honor God.
Shannon loved to decorate, and her home was meticulously kept
to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with that, she also enjoyed
cooking and baking. Shannon loved Christmas, her cats, ice
cream, and the girls canoe trip weekends on the Tobique
River. Shannon loved her family and friends with much
devotion.
Shannon was intentional about investing in others, she
believed in their potential, and sought to bring out their best
attributes. Above all, Shannon loved the Lord and placed her
trust in Him. She knew the Lord as her Saviour and her rock, and the
one that carried her through this time of ill health.
