Caroline Rae Benoit – 76, Truro, formerly of White’s Lake. It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Matriarch, beloved mother, Mrs. Caroline Rae "Ma Belle" (Hallett) Benoit. Caroline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the Palliative Care Unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Caroline had a deep love for music, dancing, long drives, and cruises. She cherished spending weeks at the camp, but above all else, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She had the biggest heart, always ready to help anyone in need, and she loved to share whatever she had with others.

She is survived and will be forever missed by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Tanya Benoit, White’s Lake; Leonard Benoit, Halifax; Michael and Lisa Benoit, Spryfield; Paul and Amy Benoit, Salmon River. She will also be dearly missed by her honorary daughter, Tami Hinch, Prospect Bay; honorary son, Paul (Kelly) Evans, Halifax; her cherished grandchildren, Cole, Sydney, Kyla, Kara, Kaylee, Cassandra, Brittany, Jenna, Madison, Brooklyn, Victoria, Chyanne, Maddie, Alex, Alison, Christopher; seven great grandchildren.

Caroline is also survived by her sisters, Frankie Bennett, Valerie Cameron, Diana Leigh Hallett; brother, Robert (Kathy) Hallett; many nieces and nephews; best friend and "partner in crime", Violet Anne Johnson.

Along with her parents, Frank and Irene "Googie" (Drysdale) Hallett, Caroline was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur "Artie" Benoit; sisters, Geraldine Askew, Donna Askew, Deborah Steeves; brothers, Ronald "Jeep" Hallett and Frank "Sam" Hallett.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be shared at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
