Crystal Ann Marie Dill – 68, Truro, passed away peacefully, with her loving family near, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late William and Christine (Wheten) Anderson.

Crystal was a florist and she worked at Suckling and Chase, Sobeys and then operated her own business, Crystal’s Floral Design Studio in Fundy Trail Mall. Following this, she worked for Chartwell’s and Subway before her retirement. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, loved bird watching, flowers and gardening, and had a profound love for animals, both her own and her children's. Her beloved cat, Paddy, was her constant shadow and the comforting heartbeat of her home. She was adored and fiercely protected by her grand-dog Quinn, who loved her like a second owner; she held a deep endless gratitude for Mason's late soul dog, Emma, for being his steadfast guardian and anchor; and she absolutely cherished Ceilidh's dog Pita, whom she affectionately called "Pita Pie, the apple of my eye." Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, especially Hudson who she spoiled! She was a fantastic cook, and her family will forever remember and also miss the holiday dinners that she prepared for everyone.

Crystal is survived by her children, Rob Dill (Paula Higgins), North River; Mason Dill, Truro; Ceilidh Dill (Travis Rogers), Truro Heights; grandson, Hudson Dill; siblings, John Anderson, Panama City Beach, Florida; Dorothy (Jerry) Wood, Kentville; Margaret Anderson (Bob), Pugwash; Lorraine (Rob) Jones, Valley; Don Anderson, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by the father of Rob, Mason and Ceilidh, Bob Dill.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. If so desired, donations in Crystal's memory to CARMA Colchester are welcomed. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be shared at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
