James Edward "Jay" Roode – 54, Truro, passed away surrounded by his love, Victoria; his sisters, Shelley and Sheri and his girls, Cindy, Shelly, Jacqueline and Keri. Jay left this world knowing he was deeply loved.

Jay is now reunited with his father and best friend, whom he missed dearly. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, there is comfort in knowing they are together again.

Jay leaves behind his mother, Judy (Benvie); sisters, Shelley (James), Sheri (Glenn); his chosen sister, Niki.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Jesse-Lee, Chad, Tanner, Amanda and Kael, as well as their children; uncles, aunts and cousins, all of whom had a special place in his heart.

Jay will be missed by his lifelong friends, Moon and Laurie, Dana and Shelly, Danny King, Robert, Ronnie, Justin, Girl Kelley, Trina, Bonnie, Michelle Mason, The Wilson boys, Vanessa and the McNutt family. Their friendship, loyalty and the many memoires they made over the years meant a great deal to him.

Jay will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to those closest to him, cheeseburgers, White Russians and George Jones. Though he is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
