Charlotte Lynn (Isenor) McClelland - 62, Bible Hill, passed
away unexpectedly on Monday June 22, 2026, following a medical
emergency at Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro.
Charlotte was born in May 1964, in Truro. She was raised in a
tight knit family of five children as the only daughter – a
rose among thorns, as she would say. Charlotte had an instinctual
curiosity for the world around her and a remarkable gift for seeing
people clearly and accepting them as they were. Her legacy lives on in
the many people whose lives she enriched through her time, care, and
unconditional love.
Charlotte trained and worked as a Registered Nurse at
Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, a profession which well suited
her keen eye and her caring nature. She later chose to leave her
career to devote herself fully to raising her four children, a role
that brought her immense pride and purpose. She created a home that
was welcoming and filled with love where she was a constant source of
strength, optimism, and encouragement to all those around her. As her
family’s storyteller and historian, she preserved memories
and created traditions that brought generations together. Her family
moved through life with greater confidence simply because she was
there.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents Calvin James Isenor
and Joan Madelyn (Coulter) Isenor as well as her younger brother,
Clayton Isenor, who passed away unexpectedly on April 25,
2026.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 36 years, Mark J.
McClelland, Bible Hill; their four children, Mark A. McClelland, Adam
McClelland, Jaclyn Marshall (Kyle), Craig McClelland, all of Bible
Hill; beloved grandchildren, Lachlan and Kendall Marshall; brothers,
Craig Isenor (Astrid), Kitchener, Ontario; Carl Isenor (Rayona),
Truro; Carey Isenor (Maria), Bridel Kopstal, Luxembourg. Charlotte was
a proud and devoted aunt to her 17 nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the first
responders, and to the staff at Colchester East Hants Health
Centre’s Emergency Department. A special thank you is also
extended to Dr. Volodko Bakowsky, who was Charlotte’s rock
through the storm of auto immune disease.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall - Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Charlotte’s
family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2026, and
