Gordon Lorne Richards – 75, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly on Sunday evening, July 12, 2026, at Townsview Estates, Truro. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Frank Richards and Julia (Tree, Richards) Joudrey.

Gordon worked for over 30 years in the office at Coastal Transport. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, both flowers and vegetables. Many will remember receiving fresh flowers or produce from Gordon; Anita remembers receiving zucchinis with the stipulation that she would make Gordon zucchini loaf! He enjoyed following baseball and hockey, cheering on Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadiens.

Gordon is survived by his brothers, Gerald (Jacqueline) Richards, West Branch; David (Anita) Richards, Harmony; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John Richards and Ronnie Richards.

Private interment will be held in Upper Wentworth Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Gordon’s memory to Canadian Mental Health Association, Colchester East Hants Branch, are welcomed.
