Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Whitman - 53, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 3, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital. Born April 19, 1957, in Truro, she is survived by her father, Stanley (Beatrice) Rushton, Brookside; mother, Margaret (Wright) Rushton, Onslow; loving husband of 30 years, Gerald Edward “Jerry”; sons, Michael, Bible Hill; Jason (Krista), Debert; grandchildren, Gracie Lynn and Ethan; sisters, Marilyn Rushton, Halifax; Pamela (Norman) Brown, Onslow; brothers, David (Sue) Rushton, Queens County; Wade (Kelly) Rushton, Dale (Freda) Rushton, all of Truro; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Debbie’s family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010, and where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, Reverend Brian DeLong officiating. Interment at a later date in Leitches Creek Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Debbie’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association are welcomed.
