Laura Helen Tobin - 84, Wynn Park Villa, Truro, passed away peacefully
on Wednesday evening, January 18, 2012, at Wynn Park Villa. Born
January 17, 1928, in Pleasant Valley, Colchester County, where she
lived with her parents, the late Marshall and Christie Lank, until she
was 11 years of age and then moved to Stellarton, Pictou County.
She attended school in Pleasant Valley, Stellarton and Business College in Truro. She was a member of the Baha’i Faith Community. Helen is survived by her daughters, Vivian M. Tobin-MacDonald, Truro; Stella C. Tobin, British Columbia; Marsh “Faye” Tobin, British Columbia; son, Michael, British Columbia; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by husband, George H. Tobin; daughter, Shelly Tobin-Toms.
Graveside funeral service will be held in Bible Hill Cemetery in Spring 2012. If so desired, donations in Helen’s memory to Colchester East-Hants Mental Health Association are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
